Hello Everyone! Happy New Year's Eve!

Alex here with this month's newsletter update. Can't believe that this is the final newsletter of 2023! I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah full of cheer, love, friends, family, great times and great food.

2023 in review

2023 was such an incredible year or progress for Outmore. It has been such a fun rollercoaster ride. Take a look back at some of the highlights from each month in 2023.


January- The Outmore HQ upgrades from Kevin's upstairs guest bedroom

February: A Trip to Guadalajara Mexico to evaluate sourcing and manufacturing options.

March-Outmore Living participates in UT's SXSW Showcase Event

April- Alex Participates in the Rice Veterans Business Battle

May- Alex and Kevin Pitch at the Rice Business Plan Competition, the largest and richest collegiate pitch competition in the world.

June- Outmore Living is featured on an 8 part podcast mini-series from Amazon called This is Small Business Next Generation

July- Kevin and Alex fly to Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam to source the finest outdoor furniture in the world!

August- Lifestyle Photoshoot. Big shoutout to all those friends who acted like they were cold despite the 100 degree Austin heat.

September- We get out amazing photo and video assets back from the shoot and launch our waitlist!

October- The Outmore Launch event celebrates the Kickstarter going live!

November- The kickstarter ends as a smash success!

December- Outmore Apparel is now for sale!

FOUNDER PERSPECTIVES: 2024 New Years Resolutions

If you aren't failing to live up to your new years resolutions by the time the calendar turns to February, is it really even a new year?

As such, Kevin and I asked ChatGPT come up with some light-hearted and (mostly) satirical New Years Resolutions for how him and I will approach our work in 2024.

For Kevin
Innovator-in-Chief: Pledge to come up with one outlandish idea per week, no matter how impractical, just to keep the spirit of innovation alive.
 
Visionary’s Vow of Silence: Once a month, communicate only in interpretive dance to ensure your vision is not just heard, but also seen and felt.
 
For Alex
Resolution to Outsource Decision Making: Vow to replace all operational decisions with a magic 8-ball. Efficiency peaks when you leave the fate of Outmore Living to the whims of a toy.

Battery-Powered Everything: In solidarity with your heated cushions, attempt to run all office electronics on lithium-ion batteries. Printers included.


But all joking aside. 2024 is going to be a huge monumental year for Outmore. The year that this idea turned product really is out there for public scrutiny. Its exciting and a bit intimidating to be honest. But we cannot wait to see what the future holds. So thank you for all your support in 2023 and all that is to come in 2024.
